At Sandwell Farmhouse we offer individual bed and breakfast in rural, comfortable family surroundings.

We have a vegetable garden, large developing front garden with apple trees and a 2 acre field - sometimes available to walk through when stock free. Nearby, a lane leads to a pretty stone bridge, or, if you prefer walking off road, a nature walk through a meadow and by an old quarry lake which takes you on a circular 2 mile walk.

There are often starlit night skies stretching to the beautiful distant views of Dartmoor and over the mist shrouded river valley below.

We offer ample safe parking, and we can accommodate dogs in our conservatory overnight.

There are two large en-suite rooms, one being situated in the original tollhouse end of the farm house. The rooms are spacious, the larger one has a double bed, a single bed and a cot intended to give a couple or a family comfortable accommodation. We provide all the usual amenities including wireless internet access, television with DVD player and we enjoy good mobile phone reception.

Nearby, the vibrant town of Totnes is a 5 minute drive away offering 40 eating opportunities, a well loved market, interesting small shops, a castle and the beautiful river Dart, leading on to Sharpham and its Vineyard, Dittisham and Dartmouth. There are 5 local golf clubs, we can arrange for guests to receive a 50% reduction on fees.

We serve breakfast "as you like it" in the conservatory dining room, or on our sheltered sunny patio overlooking the garden and rolling countryside. We can make simple evening meals such as omelettes, sandwiches, risotto, and you are welcome to bring your own wine! Most specific dietary requirements can be met, by prior request.

We keep our own hens providing, if you wish, organic free-range eggs, and we endeavour to provide wholesome fare for our families and guests.
